Bedtime Beauty

What do I dislike most about winter? Well apart from the fact its cold, wet and every nice piece of clothing I own is covered by some sort of big, baggy knit, it is probably how dry my skin becomes. I'm normally a combination kind of girl who strays towards oil free products but when it comes to this time of year my skin needs all the moisture it can get. So I went out and bought my first ever Origins purchase. I know, I know, why did it take me so long...

Origins have a wide selection of moisturisers but I chose the Night Health Bedtime Face Cream because I was specifically looking for a night cream. The consistency is quite thick and I needed to use a lot more cream than I would normally use. Once applied, it feels really smooth and isn't too greasy. I do find the smell slightly odd and at first I wasn't to sure about it, but after slapping it on most nights of the week it didn't take me too long to get used to it.

When I'm not using the night cream, I use this mask. At first I wasn't sure weather to get the Drink Up Intensive (an overnight mask) or the Drink Up (ten minute mask). Being a pretty indecisive person, it did take me a while to choose between the two and in the end I settled on the Drink Up Intensive. I wanted a mask that I could leave on for a few hours rather than minutes and even though it clearly states 'overnight' I thought it would be fine.
 Wrong.
After three hours, I washed the mask off and was utterly disappointed. I thought it was a waste of money and I couldn't see one difference. So I applied it again and left it on all night. Well, wasn't I surprised when I washed it off the next morning. My skin felt smoother, my appearance was brighter and my complexion seemed much more even. Not only is it a great product but it smells amazing and I mean, a-mazing.

Moral of the story...Read (and follow) the directions.

What's next on my Origins list:
Modern Friction Scrub
 Make A Difference Moisturiser.
Have you tried them? What do you think?
